"Ricky Proehl, the P.O.W.E.R. of Play Foundation, and Proehlific Park are excited to announce the Annual Gridiron Girls- Ladies Night Under the Lights fundraising social and football clinic on October 3 from 7pm-9:00pm at Proehlific Park in Greensboro, North Carolina. This will be an evening of fun and fellowship for WOMEN ONLY who want to learn more about playing, watching or simply enjoying football while supporting a great cause.
"More and more women are watching football on TV, but many only watch because their husband or boyfriend is a football fanatic. We want to make watching football a more enjoyable experience for wives and girlfriends, and they will be helping us raise money for a great cause in the process", said former NFL stand-out Ricky Proehl.
Participants will be able to learn about football firsthand from Proehl, and his all-star team of coaches. Topics include penalties, plays and positions, and there will even be time to brush up on some of your own skills if you choose. Wine and other refreshments will be served.
100% of the proceeds from this evening will go to support the P.O.W.E.R. of Play Foundation, whose mission is to help at-risk Triad Youth through scholarships, tutoring and academic assistance, as well as other Proehlific Park Programs. The Foundation also continues to help other North Carolina charities serving children with various disabilities and other specific social or economic needs."
